2010 Classic 3rd Place: Todd Faircloth |
Todd Faircloth put together a super-strong challenge for the bass-behemoth that is Kevin VanDam this week. Ultimately, it wasn’t enough to pull off the upset, but as Todd pointed out, there are few regrets in his performance this week. “It was a good showing, but it’s not where I wanted to finish,” he said. “I really felt like I had a legitimate shot at winning this thing. I fished a clean tournament and didn’t lose any fish, I just never got a big bite today.” Read More |

Faircloth Intent on Making Things Interesting |
It might take some time for the statisticians to crank out the dates, but it’s unlikely that there’s ever been a tighter knot heading into the final day of the Classic. Faircloth is Thankful for the Sun |
After a less-than-stellar practice, Todd Faircloth admitted that he wasn’t too optimistic that by day’s end he’d be vying for a shot at bass-fishing immortality. Like most, the warming trend helped his areas turn into productive waters. Complete Story |

2010 Classic Faircloth Anticipates Improvement |
|
BassFan - "My plan worked out pretty good," Faircloth said. "I caught my limit by about 10:00. Today was the warmest day since we've been here by far, and I really feel like the fishing should get better each day. I'm pretty excited about it. I've kind of anticipated where the fish are going to go."
He noted the water in his area had also climbed by 2 or 3 degrees since Wednesday. He saw a lot of 45- and 46-degree water, and by late afternoon he measured some at 49 degrees.
He estimated that he caught 10 keepers, and all his weigh-fish were largemouths. He did catch some spots, but culled them all out.
About tomorrow, he said: "I may change up a little. I may start where I ended the day today. I've got one area with a lot of fish in it. I caught my limit there this morning, but I only weighed one of them.
"I'm excited. It's the Classic. You can't win a Classic on the first day, but you can get way behind. Hopefully I can catch enough tomorrow to where I maybe have a shot at this deal." Complete Story |
